Background：

The European tour concert hosts many international superstar tours every year. The tour concert has a large number of spectators, the scene is spectacular, the number of performances and tickets are various, and the ticket checking process is complicated. The ticket checking method not only has a slow ticket checking speed, which leads to slow entry of fans and poor fan experience, but also has low safety and reliability, which is easy to be counterfeited and shoddy, causing losses to the organizer. For the entire concert to be held smoothly and safely, it is particularly necessary to adopt more efficient and intelligent ticket checking methods.

CHALLENGES

Disorder sometimes happened during ticket validation as there were too many spectators and multiple types of tickets.

Traditional way of checking tickets resulted in high labor cost and low efficiency.

The anti-counterfeiting performance of traditional tickets was not satisfying. It was not easy for ticket inspectors to find out counterfeit tickets.

That information could not be automatically transmitted to the background database was not convenient for overall management.

OUR SOLUTIONS

Solution：

A new paper ticket with a 2D barcode is provided. When the ticket is presented for admission, a staff members scan the barcode with GIOT handheld barcode scanner. This handheld scanner is equipped with an advanced Zebra 2D scan head and accesses a database in real time via stable wireless communication. A valid ticket returns a response displaying the unique serial number of the ticket.

Effects

2.Using handheld computers to automatically validate tickets has enhanced the staff’s productivity, as well as saved labor costs.

3.All information during ticket inspection can be transmitted to the system via Wi-Fi in real time. The background system then can sum up the number of spectators admitted at each entrance.
