Tracking assets and inventory in metallic environments has always faced many challenges. Due to the reflection of energy emitted by RFID readers from metal surfaces, RFID tag antennas often suffer from interference, resulting in tags not responding reliably. It has long plagued businesses, especially in industries such as food, logistics and apparel, where the need to track metal goods and equipment is urgent. The high cost has been a bottleneck restricting the widespread use of RFID in metal environments.
Trace-ID has withdrawn new metal tags from their metal tag portfolio with four new tag models, all featuring resistance to electromagnetic interference and extended read ranges for a wider range of applications. These tags not only overcome the high cost of traditional metal tags, but also improve read accuracy and stability, enabling organisations to achieve efficient and accurate asset and inventory tracking in metallic environments.
